he ndex program is a command line utility for fast binary searching sorted flat file constant databases. Partial key searches and files with tab delimited fields are supported. The archive, ndex.tar.gz, consists of the ANSI Standard C sources for the ndex program, and the rename, program that can be used to update a database, without locking, in a multiuser environment.
