BUBBA README
The Bandwidth Utilization Billing and Basic Accounting (BUBBA) package was developed to assist network administrators in calculating the bandwidth utilization percentiles for billing purposes. It is written in PERL and released under the GNU General Public License. A CGI program is included to allow you to view the assigned interface utilization graphs via a web interface.
- Features
-
- Extraction of ifInOctets and ifOutOctets rate data from Cricket generated RRD files.
- Utility to historically assign interfaces to clients.
- CGI interface to view utilization graphs of assigned interfaces by client.
- Ability to specify the percentile which the graphing utility will calculate a rate.
- Ability to exclude data based on a specified time period. (Network Backups, etc)
- Ability to define formulas which combine multiple interfaces into one graph/calculation.
For quick and dirty installation instructions, read the INSTALL file. For more complete instructions and program documentation, use a web browser to read the HTML files in the html/docs directory.
Visit the BUBBA homepage at http://bubba.sourceforge.net for online documentation, new releases, bug reports, information on the mailing lists, etc.
