This is a network chess program. (You wouldn't have guessed it.) It is designed to take away the burden of connecting to a chess server and figuring out where and who the person is you want to play with. If you regularly play chess against the same person over the net you will love this program. It has a self explaining design with buttons for resigning, offering draw and quitting and allows chatting. It uses X-Windows and the qt-library. The bitmaps are from xboard. The program knows all the rules of chess and detects mate and stalemate and it has time control.

KNOWN BUGS

If you forfeit on time it is not checked whether your opponent still has the material to mate you, so you always loose.

Some X-Servers don't seem to be able to handle the animation of the bitmaps. This is probably because they don't support mouse cursors of 64x64 pixels.

I hope you enjoy it.
