DUNGEON MASTER - LINUX EDITION

Disclaimer

#include "STANDARD_DISCLAIMER" This product is still under heavy development. Its use may cause serious damage to your hardware and/or software system, but also to your physical and/or mind health. It is provided without any guarantee of any kind, use it at your own risks. The author declines all responsability of what may happen if you download, keep, decrunch, compile, or install this product on your system. Development/test platform: GNU/Linux glibc 2.1.2 (a PII400, 512MB of RAM, IDE disks and a Ati Rage LT pro video Card, a SB16 PCI). It works well on this system, even with --scale 2. Further scales may slow downs the display. Also: see the TODO file. There are many things wrong, missing, buggy and itchy.
Requirements

Basically a GNU/Linux system, with Simple DirectMedia Library (SDL) installed. See the INSTALL file for the detailed software requirements and other supported OSes. It doesn't require a powerful processor, neither a lot of memory. Amounts and uses will be evaluated later.
Usage

The look & feel attempts to reproduce former and original Dungeon Master running on Atari ST. Since there're many versions of Dungeons Master (up to 3.6 on PC, Amiga), further development will attempt to provide compliance w/ all the different DM versions.
  • Keys: try the numeric pad (1-6, but soon configurable), ESC to quit. Mouse is only usable to press buttons that belong to doors. F12 saves a screenshot.
  • Mouse: a two-button mouse will be OK.
