gqcam 0.9
Gqcam is a program originally created to pull frames from a greyscale Connectix QuickCam, but that has grown into a frame grabber for most any Video4Linux compatible webcam-like camera. It should work with any camera that supports the read() method of grabbing frames from /dev/video and may someday support mmap() too (if you have no idea what I am talking about there, don't worry - you don't need to know about it to use the program). Right now it is still in rather heavy development, but as of late I think it is actually becoming quite useful and I even use it when I need a picture. Perhaps we are getting close to a stable release... Anyway, if you want some instructions on building gqcam and getting it to work with your camera, read the included INSTALL file and have fun...
By the way, BIG thanks to Steve Romero for sending me his color camera to work with. That was a HUGE help. Thanks!

Overall
At the moment this code is still very developmental. I am releasing it to get feedback on it and see what people think of it. I realize that it needs a lot of cleaning up and a few things could be done better. I am open to suggestions on anything that looks really funky...
