Leif - SonyEricsson T68/T68i tool README

!!!! Important when using gcc-3.3.1 !!!! Leif refuses to compile with gcc-3.3.1 and libbluez-devel-1.0.0 and compiler option -pdantic with error: ISO C++ forbids compound literals suggested workaround: remove -pedantic from generated leif-VERSION/leif/Makefile after running ./configure.

To do this automatically, you can run ./remove-pedantic.sh after ./configure.

The compound literal in BDADDR_ANY should hopefully disappear from bluetooth.h in the near future...

Setup

Access the settings dialog and enter your device path (e.g. /dev/rfcomm0 for bluetooth, /dev/ircomm0 for IrDA or /dev/ttyS0 for serial cable; the correct path depends on your system installation) Please be be aware that Leif does not set up your communication subsystem. You have to take care of starting the IrDA or Bluetooth subsystem yourself.
Extra bluetooth options (not needed for phonebook and sms but for file uploading): a. Address: You can get this with "hcitool scan" (you phone must be discoverable) b. OBEX channel: Usually the T68/T68i uses channel 10 for OBEX transfers via bluetooth

Please report bugs and suggest features to t.bayer@web.de
