PRINTERSPY
For installation instructions, see the file INSTALL.
Printerspy is a tool to monitor SNMP-capable printers. This usually means printers that are slightly larger than your average win-printer. If the only printer you ever touch is your Canon BJC 70, sitting right next to your windows-PC, this program is not for you.
The program relies on the SNMP module for Perl, written by G.S. Marzot. This in turn interfaces with the UCD SNMP library. Petter Reinholdtsen has provided a replacement psPrinter.pm, which uses Net::SNMP instead.
Printerspy was developed and tested on Solaris, with Perl 5.004_4, Tk 800.013, and SNMP-1.8. If you get it to work with other versions/platforms, please let me know.
