Description
GLOGWATCH is a plugin for GKrellM that allows the user to watch an arbitrary file for changes. Initially this was conceived for watching a SNORT (snort.org) alerts file, but then I thought it more generally useful and made it watch any file.
Features
When the monitored file have been modified, the GLOGWATCH button starts a timer that displays the amount of time that has passed since the file was last viewed. The monitored file can be viewed by clicking on the button. When the button is clicked, it executes whatever command template that has been specified. After the user has clicked the button, the timer is removed and it waits for another modification to start up again.
Todo
- Allow the watching of multiple log files.
- Add clever template variables.
- Needs more tweakable parameters.
