hybridcon is a cute little utility for talking to Hybrid cable (microwave) modems. Should compile on any UNIXy system, and maybe on NT. (The problem with portability is going to be the getopt() call...its only in GNU libc.)

Just run it with your modem's IP number as the only parameter and go. You'll be dropped into an interactive mode where you can give the modem commands directly (try 'help').

Other options...

-h Show unuseful usage information and version number -c Execute the specified command and exit (skipping interactive mode)
