Welcome to the wonderful world of K3Guitune, the program that will make your life better! This great program was originally created by Florian Berger (named QtGuitune, GtkGuitune, K2Guitune) and ported to KDE3 by Reinier Lamers under the name K3Guitune.
Installation
Install via the usual procedure:
First, configure the source package with './configure'. Do './configure --help'
to see command line options you can pass to the ./configure command to tune the
program to your tastes. Configure will fail when some of the required software
(Qt 3 and KDE 3) is not found.
Three of the flags you can pass are --disable-arts, --disable-oss, and
--disable-alsa. These disable support for the aRts, OSS and ALSA audio systems
respectively, even when they are installed. Usually, configure detects if
a system is present and includes support if so.
Then build the executable with 'make', and if that succeeds without errors,
install K3Guitune with 'make install'. More detailed instructions can be found
in the file INSTALL.
Use
If you want to know how to use K3Guitune, start K3Guitune (after installing, either by typing 'k3guitune' as a command or by starting K3Guitune from the K-Menu (Multimedia submenu). Choose 'Help' in the menu bar, choose 'K3Guitune handbook' in the menu that pops up.
