xmms-rawcdr is an XMMS plugin that can play ripped CD audio tracks with the readcdda utility. It's very useful when you need check mixed type (.wav and .cdr) audio files before recording them on a CD-R (by utilities like cdrdao or cdrecord).
-WARNING-
The raw cdr (ripped from a CDROM) files doesn't contain any header.
They have always 44100 samples/sec, 16 bit, 2 channels, big endian
order (MSBL LSBL, MSBR LSBR). This file type is detected only by
a .cdr extention. If xmms find a *.cdr file and this file is not
a .cdr raw audio file, then you'll get noise and/or it may damage
your hi-fi speakers if volume is loud.
