Welcome to EMU for Windows
The Emu system for speech database research includes a number of utilities for creating and querying speech databases. These utilities should now have been installed on your computer in the directory you specified to the installation script (by default this is C:\Program Files\Emu). In addition they sould be installed in the Start menu under the heading "Emu Speech Tools". The following programs have been installed:
The Emu Labeller which displays hierarchical labels associated with utterances and allows multi-level labelling with reference to speech waveform and spectrogram displays.
The Emu template editor which is a simple text editor used to edit Emu template files.
The Emu Segmenter provides an interface for cutting long recordings into many smaller ones.
The following Command line (dos mode) tools should be found in the Emu directory:
emuquery -- the command line database query utility emu_requery -- finds segments associated with those already extracted gettrack -- the command line data extraction utility emuplay -- a command line program for playing all or part of an
utterance in an Emu database utters -- a command line utility for listing utterances in a speech
database
