README for gltv 0.2

this release is much more robust than 0.1 was, but it still may not meet all users needs, and it has not been tested extensively, so I still recomend xawtv at http://bytesex.org/xawtv unless you are interested in developing or testing this program.

it requires: a video4linux (1) capture card, OpenGL, Freetype 2, SDL and XMLwrapp (XMLwrapp is a wrapper to libxml2, so you will need that as well). Theoretically, any v4l capture card should work, but i am using a bttv based one (Hauppauge, bt878), so it might not work too well with other cards, or cards using other drivers. If you are using another card and have success or problems with it, let me know so I can fix them (or add them to a list of known supported drivers.

the key bindings are:

q: quit
Up: channel up
Down: channel down
Right: volume up
Left: volume down
m: mute
i: bring up input menu
n: bring up norm menu

when in a menu:

Up/Down: navigate menu
Enter: select menu option
Escape: cancel out of menu

currently, the only supported frequency table is US Cable.

anyway, if you see any bugs (aside from what ive listed above), or are interested in helping develop it, send me an email at spiralman@softhome.net
