XView Surround Version 0.93

This is XView Surround, a tool to control the miroMEDIA Surround Dolby Pro Logic decoder. It is designed to run under Linux with X11 and XView3.2. It comes with an easy-to-use, attractive OPEN LOOK graphical interface. It acts as a frontend for SRND, the Linux device driver for the miroMEDIA Surround board.

Hardware Requirements

  1. The miroMEDIA Surround ISA PnP Dolby Pro Logic decoder board.
  2. A soundcard properly installed and working if you connected your miroMEDIA Surround board to your sound card as recommended.
  3. A sound source with Surround sound. (e.g. Audio CD, stereo TV tuner board)

Software Requirements

  1. Linux 2.x.x XView Surround was build and tested with kernel version 2.0.35 and 2.1.123 but should work with other kernel versions, too.
  2. XView3.2 libraries and header files XView Surround was build and tested with XView3.2p1-X11R6, Linux-patchlevel 2.
  3. SRND Version 0.94 or better - the device driver for the miroMEDIA Surround board.
