Avi2Mpeg is a simple perl script to convert avi files to mpeg. Supported mpeg formats are VCD, SVCD and iDVD, all in NTSC or PAL norm.
Practically it can encode almost any media file supported by mencoder to mpeg, but it is focused on avi. Requirements
Avi2Mpeg requires the following:
- sox
- mp2enc, yuvscaler, mpeg2enc and mplex, all available in mjpegtools
- mplayer
- mencoder
