Drip - A DVD to DIVX convertor frontend

  • Dependancies: See drip.sourceforge.net

NOTE this release is a beta, just basic dvd-divx is supported. Run this version in a terminal, because much run-time information is not parsed into the GUI.

Also have enough free space available on the partition where you execute Drip, it will cache ALL DVD mpeg2 streams before it starts encoding the divx file. In general this means you need around 8Gigabyte for a rip. And a little patience, my Athlon800 takes around 5 houres to rip a full DVDrom.

RPM packages: Included in the tarball is a spec file, use it to build rpms:

rpm -ta <tarball>
or even

rpm -ta --target=i686 <tarball>
