antivisor is at present a graphical interface to
Sophos antivirus (SAV)
for Linux and similar operative systems having gtk.

All Sophos antiviral software is closed and propietary: antivisor is NOT built on that software. It just launches it from the command line like the user would do manually, presenting its output on the display.
This makes antivisor a completely independent piece of software:
a) It can perfectly be run even in the absence of the antivirus.
(Though of course it is then useless).
b) Moreover, it can be extended to invoke other antiviruses.
(Suggestions welcome).
The author of antivisor, Juanjo Garcia <juanjo@eurogaran.com> does not make any money out of it. He just happened to need a handy front-end as a replacement/complement of the command line.
Therefore, use of the Sophos name and the Intercheck(R) logo should be regarded here as free publicity for the product. Both would be inmediatly withdrawn if requested by the owner of the mark.
- DISCLAIMER
Since antivisor is provided for free, it is only fair that the users have no right to formulate legal demands on it. (The need to explicit this tells a lot about human race).
Always look at the code before running it.
- USE
Run antivisor
- INSTALL
It is a self-contained executable. Place anywhere.
- PROBLEMS
-Having the libraries gtk+ gdk and glib (do not confound with glibc) is a must.
-In case of using the source program, it is necessary to have Python installed, together with its Gtk module (package usually named pygtk or python-gtk). This is unnecessary when using the compiled program.
-Directory /tmp must have universally writable permissions. (Only necessary when not using english exclusively).
-Chances are of images being incorrectly drawn sometimes. This does not affect execution in any other respect.

Los programas antivirus son propiedad de Sophos: antivisor NO se basa en ellos. Se limita a lanzarlos desde la linea de mandatos como lo haria manualmente el propio usuario, y recoger posteriormente su salida en pantalla.
Este planteamiento convierte a antivisor en un programa
totalmente independiente de Sophos Antivirus:
a) Puede ejecutarse perfectamente incluso en ausencia del
antivirus.
(Aunque en este caso no tenga obviamente ninguna utilidad).
b) Pudiera, de hecho, ser ampliado para lanzar cualquier
otro antivirus. (Se aceptan sugerencias).
El autor de antivisor, Juanjo Garcia <juanjo@eurogaran.com> no gana dinero con ello. Sencillamente necesitaba una interfaz adecuada para reemplazar/complementar la línea de comandos.
- RECLAMACIONES
Puesto que antivisor es gratuito, no se admiten quejas
o demandas por su funcionamiento.
(La necesidad de aclarar esto dice mucho acerca de
la raza humana).
Revise siempre el codigo de los programas que utilice.

Ejecutar antivisor
- INSTALAR
El programa completo es un solo archivo ejecutable.
- PROBLEMAS
-Las bibliotecas gtk+ gdk y glib (no confundir con glibc) son imprescindibles.
-En caso de usar el programa fuente, es asimismo necesario tener Python instalado, junto con su módulo Gtk (paquete denominado usualmente pygtk o python-gtk). Esto no es necesario cuando se emplea el programa compilado.
-El directorio /tmp debe tener permiso de escritura universal
como es la norma general.
(Innecesario si solamente se utiliza en lengua inglesa).
-Ocasionalmente, alguna imagen puede aparecer defectuosa. Ello no afecta al funcionamiento del resto del programa.
