RELEASE NOTES

THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS VERY IMPORTANT. SOME OF THIS INFORMATION SUPERSEDES THE INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THE USER'S GUIDE. IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU READ THESE RELEASE NOTES COMPLETELY BEFORE INSTALLING OR USING iTivity Admin Agent.

Some items will apply to all iTivity Admin Agent releases, while others will be platform specific. Below is a legend of the notations used.

1- Support for spaces in configuration file settings added.

Leading spaces (after equals, "=") and trailing spaces before the end of the line or comment symbol are still ignored.

2- Activity log output username bug fixed. Also, iManager and

iAgent session numbers are now shown in hexadecimal to help distinguish the high order bits.

[AIX] iTivity Admin Agent Fixes

1- Removed stand alone licensing for the Unix/Linux iTivity Admin Agents. License and Activation keys are no longer needed for release 4.5.00 and future releases.

2- Removed the AdminAgent.conf file from the installation directory.

3- Added SSL 2048 bit encryption support.

4- Resolved the DNS lockup error.

[SCO] iTivity Admin Agent timeout added.

Added authorization timeout to encrypted tunnel implementation. If no authorization occurs within five minutes, the encrypted tunnel is automatically closed from the agent side. This corrects a cornercase with stale agent connections to the iServer.

iTivity Admin Agent is ported from Windows platform over to Red Hat 9.0 intel platform. Admin Agent is certified to run only on Red Hat 9.0 and higher with a 2.4.XX kernel.
