QNmap is a frontend to the popular port scanner nmap. It runs as a non-root user with actual functionality, and will eventually even implement all of nmap's features. To install, you need Qt 2.2 or higher and, of course, nmap. In this version, QNmap features a working Help button and a wizard-like format.

A known bug prevents the application from actually exiting unless you go through the wizard and click Exit. Otherwise you will be left with a blank prompt, if you ran it from the console, or a more or less idle process. Not much damage should be done if you just kill it.
