Unix accounts, Samba, address book info... and much more.
Written completely in C and even with support for SSL to
completely bypass Apache.
Advantages,
1) No need to store passwords in in web server accessible
directory in the disk.
2) No need to store passwords even in memory. Only connections
to ldap server are kept in memory.
