dotXyGTK is a FREE project for developing a set of software for sharing free pics across the net. At the moment i'm working at the downloader (dotXyGTK is the downloader's name). What is the downloader ? Is a smart program that automatically download selected class of pics from the net. Is not so simple to use but is a powerfull program, infinitely expandible and long-time usable ! It uses a lot of "tricks" to prevent staticity of software. For example dotXyGTK use plugins to know how to parse database file; and a plugin is a simple text file !!!! An unlimited (phisical limited isn't breakable !) number of plugins are accepted, as for databases and jobs ! In fact dotXyGTK work is simple: first, it download all databases (when user add them) and, parsing them using specified plugin, return a list of available jobs. At this phase, the user select the jobs that want (unlimited !!!) and press 'DO ALL JOBS' for start downloading. Ath this moment user work with dotXyGTK is completely done !!! dotXyGTK automatically does all works. You can also keep tracks of its job using Log window and also add jobs when dowloading is run ! An integrated IRC Client can be used for happy chatting while dotXyGTK download pics for you. IRC is also used for other, nifty, things but only in the future ;).
