Welcome
This is Molasses, a small and light sticky notes program. Written for you to
stick useful notes all over your desktop. All notes used are saved in a XML
file named ~/.molasses.
Molasses is under the GNU GPL copyright, see file COPYING.
Features
- Load and Save multiple notes
- Customisable button visibility
- You can destroy notes when you've finished with them.
Requrirements
Molasses was developed on a GNU/Debian Linux system (Woody); using Gnome 1.2.8.
Minimal requirements are:
- Gnome >= 1.2.8
- libxml >= 1.8.10
- Gtk+ >= 1.2.9
- X11R6
Using
Molasses is very easy to use. The note has two buttons "Save" and "Destroy": * Save saves the current note, either as a new note or updated. * Destroy will destroy the note; if it is the last note, then Molasses will exit. Molasses will also exit if you delete the window via your Window Manager.
A right-click menu has the full array of features: * Save and Destroy do the same as the buttons. * "New Note" creates a new note for you to use. * The toggle options toggle their corresponding features.
Source
Be sure to check http://sourceforge.net/projects/gnome-molasses/ for updates. A CVS Repository is available with the latest, bleeding edge, code. Patches and ideas are welcome.
Thanks
Thanks for the interest in Molasses.
Thanks to Thomas Holmgren (Layman) for bugging me enough to write this; and for
helping me with ideas for it (oh, and for testing it)..
Thanks to everyone who helped me try to retrive the lost data when I accedently
erased the first version (This version is better anyway :)
And Thanks to anyone I've missed!
If you find any bugs in Molasses, or just want to comment on it, please have no fear in e-mailing me, bse@bakterium.com. You can also find me on irc.dal.net in #DesignerVoodoo.
