The files in this directory are useful for installing or operating xmccd. The scripts to insert modules assume that the sbig development directory is in /usr/local/. The other binaries including xmccd and fits utilities are copied here on the command "make install" in their respective directories. It may be helpful to copy all of these files to a public directory such as /usr/local/bin/.
insmod_sbig_lpt
This is a slightly modified version of load_lpt, a script supplied by SBIG for installing its kernel driver modules. Copy this script to /usr/local/bin and call it from the startup scripts for your system, for example from rc.local in Slackware, to install the modules on system boot.
insmod_sbig_usb
A slightly modified verson of load_usb. Copy this script to /usr/local/bin if you are using the USB model cameras, and call it from the startup scripts for your system.
