Kasigra (for KDE) is an application for viewing and processing Atomic Force Microscopy images obtained by ThermoMicroscopes(TM) equipment. It supports binary files generated by SPMLab(R), exported text files and arbitrary binary file (with 8/12/16 bits/pixel).

Kasigra can:

read binary or text file (only heights) show data as plane image with selected palette export data in text form
do some basic processing (leveling, background removing)

Integration with KDE:

thumbnail creator
kimgio for input as image for each KDE image application (KView, KPaint, KOffice) metadata informations

create links (change directory appropriate, this works on RedHat 7.3) ln -s /usr/lib/libkfile_spm.so.0.0.0 /usr/lib/kde3/kfile_spm.so ln -s /usr/lib/libkfile_spm.la /usr/lib/kde3/kfile_spm.la
