I know you're eager to try Kalamaris and you're short of time. As you're busy, and I'm too, I'll be brief :-)
To compile Kalamaris and install it (you must install Kalamaris to use it, as it needs some data files correctly installed), do :
./configure
make
make install
Don't forget to try the examples on the "kalamaris/examples" directory (how original, :-) )
There's some HTML internal documentation on the kalamaris/docs directory
