KDE Octave gui
With some bias to the Matlab interface. kOctave is based on code from kate and konsole and possible others. If you feel that you are not among the names in about, drop me a line and Ill add you.
Please look in changes for details on this release.
Note
If F5 doesnt work in the editor, go to settings and make sure F5 isnt used for reload or something else (wich it is by default).
When you run kOctave the first time, open settings in the editor and change so that tabs get converted to spaces, if you don't do this you will not be able to use 'tabs' in your comments! This is a Octave OR readline issue!
CONTRIBUTION
Feel free to add contribute in anyway, language support, nice formated documentation or a user guide to koctave not that it would be very big at this point, but still! A code cleanup would also be great, not removing the comments :P Feature requests are welcome aswell, so long as they are relevant for kOctave, not octave itself (those probably goto octave-mailing lists)
INSTALLATION
You need to install octavelib in order to run this program it is located in octavelib. Therefor install this first!
THE PROGRAM WILL NOT COMPILE ELSE!
You might want to install the commands.lst in $HOME/.commands.lst That way you will have all Octave commands in the editor, you may also add your own commands to that file
RECOMENDATIONS
I included the octave docs, on the homepage copy these manualy to a directory within your F.S. and go to settings in koctave to point to the help files.
I also recomend you to install gnuplot or kmatplot. Or else you wount be able to plot things.

You can find some simple examples in the examples dir.. to get you going if you never used Octave before.
