What's printquota?
printquota is a tool to control the print-out service based on page quota. It works with LPRng (Copyright Patrick Powell, Astart Technologies <papowell@astart.com> ) and ifhp filter (available with the LPRngpackage -- Copyright Patrick Powell, Astart Technologies).
It has the following major features:
- supports only postscript files.
- works with postgresql, mysql, and text files.
- sends an e-mail to the user after (s)he prints a job.
- logs successful printings.
What is required?
printquota needs actually:
- LPRng print tool
- ifhp print filter
- postgresql or mysql
- lpopt libraries
- parsecfg (distributed with package)
- gs
