GGV, the Gnome GhostView, is a Gnome PostScript document previewer. It can also preview PDFs, but as it is not a native PDF viewer, it does not take advantage of all the features of the PDF format. Users are strongly discouraged from using it as their PDF viewer - use GPdf instead!
GGV was developed by Jonathan R. Blanford using the gv codebase and subsequently taken over by Jaka Mocnik who is still maintaining it. Satyajit Kanungo from Wipro helped a lot with the port to Gnome 2 libraries. Many people, way too numerous too mention here, contributed code, reported bugs and helped translating strings.
