- Introduction
KStella is a frontend to the Atari 2600 emulator, Stella. It is a port from the original KDE1 version written by Scott Patterson. I have ported it to KDE3 and updated it in almost every way, such as adding more snapshots and converting many more manuals. This version is a complete re-write of the original KDE1 code.
It provides manuals, game snapshots, cartridge label scans, and saving of per-game settings all from an easy to use, point-and-click interface.
The project is under active development and I welcome any help you want to provide. I'm accepting cartridge scans, game manuals (converted to HTML), suggestions, praise, criticisms, or anything else you want to do :)
Current requirements:
At least KDE3.2 and QT3.2 are required. It has been tested on KDE 3.2.0 using QT 3.2.3. I'd appreciate feedback on whether or not it will work with other KDE3.x versions.
Also required is a working "Stella" environment. This is only a frontend, the actual "Stella" emulator must be installed and working. And of course you'll need some roms to play :)
