This is a modified version of PySol by Markus Oberhumer. The basic Pysol has been extended to include games using Ganjifa playing cards, Hanafuda cards and Mahjongg tiles as well as Tarock playing cards and the 52 card International Pattern deck. There are nearly 400 different ways to play Solitaire in the current 1.0 version.
Down load the file and open it into a convenient location. The traditional *ix locations or your home directory should work fine. Include the ultrasol/ directory on your path, or use a symlink. Some of the support files in some of the cardsets are symlinks, so those cardsets will not be available if you use MS Windows. Actually, we don't have access to a Microsoft OS so we aren't able to test Ultrasol in Windows.
Using Ultrasol
If the "ultrasol.py" executable script is on your path, just type it in. If not, cd into the directory and start it from there. F1 opens a separate window with context sensitive help. You'll find general playing information and a lot more in the help files. There are numerous user configuration options and many other features.
