This is a GNOME tool for managing your Diamond Rio PMP300 MP3 player. It supports all major functions, including:
Uploading files to the Rio
Downloading files from the Rio
Erasing files
Initializing the Rio
Rearranging play order
Note: This program must be run as root. Due to issues with Gtk+, running suid root is not recommended.
This is a beta release, and probably has bugs. Please mail timg@means.net if you find any.
Features planned:
ID3 extraction (maybe, if I can find a use for it)
Playlist support (including uploading of multiple files)
External flash RAM support. I do not have a flash card, but if
someone would buy me one, I could write the code! :)
This uses the original rio.cpp, rio.h, std.h, and binary.h files from the Snowblind Alliance & David Weekly release version 1.07. The original distribution is available at http://www.world.co.uk/sba/rio.htm. The files were copied verbatim, so it should be possible to use newer versions by copying the same files to the src/ directory.
Thanks, and enjoy.
