NRip v1.60, Coded by Magnus Tautra Knutsen

About

NRip is a frontend for ripping cd's and then encode the wav files to mp3. It has been completely rewritten since last time. This process brought about some changes in the of doing things.

NRip now ships with support only for 2 rippers and 2 encoders. These are

Rippers: cdparanoia and dagrab
Encoders: l3enc and gogo

The reason for this reduction in programs supported is NRip's extended configurability. This includes you being able to specify your own ripper/encoder commands.

Another new feature is GUI configuration. NRip now comes with three alternative user interfaces. The original one, and two new ones. The new ones are somewhat simpler, but on the other hand they offer the ability to choose your own colors (See nriprc.example for more info, and check out the preferences menu).

Installation.

Edit the Makefile to suit your needs.

By default all GUI styles are compiled into the binary. If this is not according to your wishes you can comment out the ones you do not wish to use.

Do a 'make install' and you ought to be off.
