This is the first release of the Dissent Project

Compile with the generic instructions.

Brief installation notes:

        ./configure
        make
        su (enter root password)
        make install

NB

In order for any of the media features to be enabled a Media Engine must be installed. There is only one media engine available for GNU/Linux at this time which is the GStreamer plugin. It can be downloaded at http://dissent-project.org
