Gnome SuperUser

Once you've installed gnome superuser you can use it in 3 ways: * Run 'gnomesu' or launch it from the Gnome 'System Tools' menu, enter the command you want to run and your root password and press Run.
* Run 'gnomesu <command>' and enter your root password to run <command>. This is particularily useful if you want to modify a menu item so that it runs as root.
* Run 'gnomesu -u <username>' to run a command as <username>.

Full details of commandline argument can be found by running gnomesu --help on a console.

Note: If you press 'Run' without typing in the root password the command will be run as the current user. This is to let you add gnomesu to menu items but still have the flexibility to run as normal user, I still have to work out a better way to do it though.

WARNING: Do not use Gnome SuperUser in an untrusted environment. The only truly safe computer to run it on is a single user PC with no access to the internet. We have done our best to erase the password from the computer's memory after the command has been run but the is still a risk of someone being able to find out your root password. This software is distibuted without waranty and you are responsible for any damage caused by running it.

NOTE: If you get the error "Connection reset by peer" then you have a problem with libzvt not being installed properly, make sure it's installed in the same prefix as gnomesu.
