Popup Fortune

To run, type 'python popupfortune.py' or just './popupfortune'.

There are many customizations that can be done on the command line. For a complete list, run './popupfortune -h'.

You'll note that you can change the command Popup Fortune runs to get its text. If the text it receives from the command is the empty string, no popup box will be displayed. Thus, you can use a custom command to conditionally display text.

python-xlib is included in this package. If you have it elsewhere on your system, it's safe to delete this one.
