Hello to everyone

This is simple workspace switcher for gnome env. It's based on stph by Rob Hodges and stph is doing all dirty work here, gnoclip is just a frontend to it ;-) and that mean that Rob is a great programmer not me :-) and that also means that all the bugs are in gnoclip no in stph

not the best pice of code but it works (i hope so)

it was checked with Sawfish, WindowMaker, IceWM and it works !!!

FEATURES

• idea was to make something like WindowMaker Clip to allow gnome users to switch workspaces
• arrows to swich to prev/next ws
• menu with all workspaces
• names of workspaces for sawfish wm
• info windows with workspace names when swiching windows
• transparent texts with workspaces names (like in Window Maker)

• OSD patch based on XOSD by Andre Renaud <andre@ignavus.net> created by Jerome (poit'ch) Poichet jerome@kingofsofa.org, patch allow to display trasparent texts with workspace names, I'm not quite sure about the way XOSD manage fonts so not all X fonts works, at least on my system, the default font for OSD is "-misc-fixed-medium-r-*-*-*-300-*-*-*-*-*-*" and should be avaible
• fix bug with stroing preferences, should work fine right now

    INSTALL

    • type

      make make install and go to Applets->Utilities->GnoClip

    • if you want the info windows with workspace names to dont have sawfish window decorations

      you have to add to you sawfish matched windows window named GnoClip-Info in Apperiance tab select framte type - none. It's looking better in this way :-)

    TODO

    • allow users to change fonts in ws names info window
    • add ability to define pixmaps for workspaces
    • maybe i will add a viewport(screen parts???) switching support, stph have it so i won't be difficult

      but i don't use them so i see no reason, now...

    • improve makefile
    • add more configuration options, maybe themes
    • and maybe something else
