Linux-ready(*) version of X11R5 mxterm + color enhancement for Motif 1.2.x
Thanks to Mahesh Neelakanta (mahesh@cybernet.cse.fau.edu), mxterm now works under Motif 1.2.x. In the mean time, I also added the color support to mxterm, based on the color diffs by Tom Weinstein.

(*) I think this not only works in Linux, but works in nearly all other
Unix platforms, if not, it only needs very minor modifications.

Linux-ready version of X11R5 mxterm
Changed the included xterm source by patching the original X11R5 xterm with Xfree86 1.2 patches, then I did diffs from it with the mxterm. Finally, I painfully patched all the code by hand based on those diffs because there was too much change from the R4 mxterm source.
But, I'm too lazy to change mxterm.man and update any (if any) changes. MXterm.ad was modified a little to make it look good.
I may have missed some things that existed in the previous version of mxterm, but I can't tell the difference. You can always look at the diffs from the old mxterm and the R5 distribution included in the file R5-oldmxt.diff.
You 'may' have to do some reverse patching from Xfree86 in order to get it to compile on other systems, you never know. But from what I can tell during patching, I think there wasn't too much difference.
Other than that, this should be the real R5 version of the mxterm!

Changed it so that it is now called mxterm.
I made all the necessary modifications so that it would compile with my R5 distribution, and have included all of the files. Successfully compiled on my Sparc2 and runs quite nicely.
I made MINIMAL changes to the xterm.man file to make it mxterm.man, and it's not quite right.
There are no font_5 and font_6.
Added the type field to the menu's so I could have the Motif
menus look right.
Otherwise, just inherit the credit from Ivan and the original xterm.

These files for the R4 xterm replace all the athena widgets with motif widgets.
The changes are all contained within ifdefs (MOTIF), so you need to turn on the option. I have provided a sample Imakefile that works on my Silicon Graphics machine.
Replace the following files, from your xterm source:
0. Imakefile
1. menu.h
2. menu.c
3. scrollbar.c
4. main.c
Copy XtermMotif.ad to .../X11/app-defaults/XtermMotif.
I tested the codes only on Silicon Graphics machine.
Enjoy.
